A Simple Exercise To Get Rid Of Ugly “Back Bra Bulge”

As a person gains weight, there forms a
lip of fat that extends across the entire width of the back just
underneath the arms. This lip of fat is referred to as “the back
bra bulge" and don't you just hate it? Sometimes it feels as
though you have as many lumps in the back of your sweater as the
front. There are new style bras that can help with this, and I don't
know about you, but I can't afford to replace all my bras, so I'll go
the diet and exercise route.
In trying to get rid of fat anywhere on
your body, it’s important to recognize that diet plays a huge part
in keeping new fat from accumulating and will affect the rate in
which you will lose fat.
If your metabolism is boosted enough to
burn calories and build muscle, some of the bra bulge fat will melt
away on it's own. However, there’s no discrimination involved in
the location of where fat melts the most so it's best to add toning
exercises to your daily workout routine. And once the fat is gone
from an area, the toned muscle will be sleek and sexy.
So, how
does one tone muscle where the bulge is located?
- Purchase a long elastic band for resistance training. Resistance bands are found in almost every department store that has a sporting goods department or you can order online. The band needs to be long enough to reach from one’s nose to their feet when stretched. Don’t use weights as this exercise is done most effectively when the hands are touching one another. As the muscles strengthen, more resistance can offer a greater challenge. Most resistance bands come in sets, so when needed just move up to the next band.
Place one end of the band on the ground and step into it with either one or both feet if possible.
Take up the other end and pull on it with both hands on the handle used; it should be at nipple height.
At this point, the hands should sit side by side with the forefingers and thumbs of each hand touching. The hands should be about an inch and a half away from the body. The elbows should be sticking out to either side, and the overall posture should be straight. The feet, if possible, should be wide enough to remain stable, but just under shoulders’ width apart.
From chest height, let the handle in your hands drop to naval height.
Pulling, stretch the band so that the hands are at chest height once again.
Do not sway or change overall posture. Be sure to pull upward in a quick motion, then allow the band to slowly fall back to naval height.
Continue the exercise for two sets of
10 repetitions. After a few days increase your workout to two sets of
15 repetitions and gradually work up to a total of 50 reps per day.
Always take a 15-20 second break between sets and during this time
shake your hands and arms to relax your muscles. When this
exercise is performed, you should feel it in your shoulders as well
as the back bra bulge area.
If you perform this exercise daily and
watch what you eat, you soon will be able to wear tighter fitting
sweaters and t-shirts without having to worry about that unsightly
roll of fat around the back of your bra.
